Personally I think she was right not to.

It is not the time to be harping about human rights we need the business and the Saudis would just ignore it anyway meaning we would only get their backs up. The idea we would tie human rights to trade deals WE want is fanciful.

So, Mrs May not wearing the headscarf is a good way of showing them how we in the West (excepting our new arrivals of course) treat women as equals. it a is a subtle and clear message to human rights.

Emmie....I am not sure if getting people to "care for it" was Bells intention.

It's not surprising you would like something like this from your favorite bog paper.

And if Mrs May is a clown what does that make Jezza then?

People in glass houses ....

And my sincere apologizes to the right-on for posting something that apparently is not news.
Why doesn't bother you when Labour do the self same thing as the Conservatives, mikey?

I don't understand your logic ... or lack of it.

Some utter claptrap about head wear spouted on previous page.

Some women are forced to wear the hijab in this country ... Fact!
Talbot - // Fact! //

No argument.

Some women are beaten by their husbands, and some of them are raped, kept inside the house, abused physically and mentally, and they are white!

Why some people get so irate on a daily basis about what they perceive as ill-treatment of Muslim women, and then they leap to the defence of rapist footballers, is a continuing mystery.
A. I thought you had spat your dummy and were refusing to talk to me?

B. I haven't ever defended a rapist footballer.
many women i see wear the full regalia, niqab, hijab and burkha, whether they are made to wear them, who knows.
Talbot - //A. I thought you had spat your dummy and were refusing to talk to me? //

I haven't ever 'spat my dummy out'.

I said I hoped you would ignore me, not that I was not speaking to you - I do wish you could retain things for more than twelve hours.

I said 'some people' - it's not all about you.
emmie - //many women i see wear the full regalia, niqab, hijab and burkha, whether they are made to wear them, who knows.//

That's the interesting point.

White westerners love to assume that all Muslim women are subjugated, but in reality, they have no idea if they are or not - it just allows them to get angry about things they know nothing about.
i find the dress code somewhat appalling, but in this land of the free, home of the brave, oh wait, that's not us,
we are supposed to accept that women are not subjugated, beaten by their family for not wearing
the correct clothing.
perhaps if there was a deal more integration, openness,
we could find out if these ladies are under the family cash.
emmie - Sadly, the vast majority of people gain their perceptions of other cultures from the media, which has a vested interest in stoking up fear and suspicion.
I said I hoped you would ignore me, not that I was not speaking to you - I do wish you could retain things for more than twelve hours.

So you hoped I would ignore you but yet you address posts to me?
How was this going to work then?
Am I supposed to not come back to you when you address me?
one interesting fact that i heard on the news is how many women start to lose their hair because they don't get enough sunlight, not to mention deficiencies in Vitamins also due to lack of sunlight. Don't know if its true perhaps sqad would know.
You can please yourself Talbot, you are obviously confusing me with someone who cares what you do.
You're getting awful *** lately, Andy, aren't you.
You do act very childish and bizarre at times, andy.
Samjenko - //You're getting awful *** lately, Andy, aren't you. //

Because what you perceive me to be is censored, I have no idea what it is, so am prevented from comment.

It's probably something unpleasant, so I am delighted that our exchange is halted before it began.
Only 'lately' Samjenko !

Good on you Mrs. May.
hereIam - //Only 'lately' Samjenko ! //

Since you appear to know what it is I 'am getting' - because otherwise you would not know that I have 'been' for some time - could you let me know what it is please?

I am missing your powers of deduction, I don't know what the censored word is.
