As I have no option but to stick with Virgin - I've been with them since they took over from Telewest all those years ago - it does peeve me that I don't get the 'new customer' offer.
I do phone them every price rise and haggle a discount, so I don't do too badly but a lot of people don't like to do that.
I should have access to BT soon and that will give me a big handle for a bigger discount from Virgin or the new customer discounts from BT, Sky and all the others

i find all these claims very confusing, even after using comparison site. I have been with talktalk for a few years and have always found them pretty competitive. no probs with customer service. they gave just changed their charging structure. my new package is £40(ish)pm. speed up to 76mps. free downloads. free landline and mobile calls 24/7/365. line rental included. Ive no idea whether this compares well or not but i have always found them fair and transparent.
