Yes but does that warrant him being on the wrong end of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour? "Jail? Way over the top." Really? "At the time of the incident, she was subject to a suspended sentence for a string of previous convictions for robbery, thefts and assault." So not excessive at all. Especially when you consider she will be released on...
Well Mally H .... not often I come across someone with the same name......his voice is dreadfully whiney, he ruins eggheads with his fatuous comments in said whining voice, his lunchtime show on radio 2 is simply unpleasant when he seems to like to goad people into showing how upset they are about a topic..in his awful whiney voice..the best bit about that is Ken Bruces comments to him showing how little he thinks of him....I have toturn him off whenever he comes on.
If you have a suspended sentence hanging above your head, and you do something to breach the conditions of said sentence - then it's thoroughly appropriate that you should go to jail.
Yes, judges and magistrates have guidance that suggests that suspended sentences should be activated in the event of re-offending unless there are exceptional circumstances not to do so.
mikey4444 .... that he is so irritating and smarmy that it would be hard to keep from responding aggressively...now that does not excuse violence towards anyone and I do not condone her behaviour one iota but it goes a way towards explaining it in my opinion
MallyJ....you need to have another look at this case. In no way whatsoever was this incidence Vines fault. At all.
The woman was stupid, agressive and foul-mouthed and deserved everything that came to her. As Mamy has said, she is clearly dangerous to other road users and we are best shot of her, for a few weeks anyway.
