Was it said with malice ? - no Was it said in a jokey way? - yes Is it true that the PROBABILITY of it being factually correct is true? - YES, although not the only outcome, it is the most likely to occur. Therefore, it is not rascist. It was ill-advised and stupid to make such a comment but it was NOT rascist. The people that think it is rascist are rascists themselves...

Sorry, Bernie :-)
RandyMarsh the word 'Chocolate' is legitimately used to denote a brown shade as in' Light / Dark Chocolate' or just 'Chocolate' in paint or fabric colour for example. It does not just apply to skin colour or ethnicity.
Nastase has been very offensive, and yet, to some on here, its a matter of fun and irrelevance ....sometimes AB really amazes me !
irreverence?
I tried a wee pop at him , but it didn't go down well.
You did indeed Mamy !
Reading past the confectionery debate, seems our Ilie has an attitude problem with the burds in general.
Just a clash of cultures or a dirty old man?
Mamyalynne, after what you'd said previously your ‘pop’ exposed double standards. For the record I listened to Nastase the other night banging on about a number of things and in my opinion he’s a dreadful man who appears to have lost the plot completely – and if that’s deemed ‘offensive’, so be it. I don’t do virtue signalling and never have.
Oh dear, Naomi. That's your last chance for a halo up the spout!
No doubt about that. ;o)
Nice to agree then, he isn't at all nice.
I will second that Mamy !
if this thread was just the comments without the names how differently it would have gone.
Haha, how true Prudie.
As far as the Serena issue is concerned, Nastase has clearly been very inoffensive, but there are those who find his words justification to claim otherwise. What has been most offensive is how Maya Angelou's poetry is used by someone to try to give themselves a kind of victim status legitimacy. Well that, and the support freely given by those who are prepared to encourage the attention grabbing using the unjustified accusations.
I can't be bothered to read all the posts from the last time I looked at he thread to here, but how can the names not being visible change folks' opinions ? I see a storm in a teacup being built up as if it were something, others seem to see what I do not believe is there. Names would not change that.
