/// The Turkish authorities are said to be seeking to jail him for up to 15 years. He could face further prosecution under anti-terrorism legislation if he returns to the UK. ///

They should both be equally jailed by the Turkish authorities, and their Syrian born child taken into care, we definitely don't want them back here.

/// A Foreign Office spokesman said officials were in contact with the Turkish authorities. ///

WHY ???????????

she must be incredibly naive to think that going to join ISIS would mean she can calmly waltz back into life in Britain, personally i don;t think they should be allowed back in. But both are British born, so presumably with British passports..

Her father is unemployed and a father of nine, it's a pity we can't get rid of him and his family also, since it seems obvious that they are taking more out than they are putting in.

/// Bangladesh-born Mr Ali, an unemployed chef who has nine children, said: ‘They told me Kolsoma had gone to Syria but I still can’t believe it.’ ///
What ages are the nine children? Do you know for a fact that none of them is employed?

Sadly it looks as if they have a case for returning 'home'

// *British born couple* joined Islamic State in 2015 after crossing the Turkish border
Now the mother-of-one, 22, wants to return to the UK with her husband//

Corby, 9 children ??
no no no !!!!! don't let any of them back here .
The first of many "returning home" methinks. We must be mad if we let them back in. But still it will give the hand wringers and you man rites brigade something to wet the bed for.
When they have been dealt with by the Turkish authorities and any relevant ones on the way home.

When they get here they should then feel the full force of the law.

Unfortunately they will give some sob story that means they or perhaps more particularly she will get off with a derisory sentence because she has a small child.
BALDRIC, yes, nine children.

Gosh, that's a lot in 2 years, I must have missed that, where is it in the link please?
// Bangladesh-born Mr Ali, an unemployed chef who has nine children, said: ‘They told me Kolsoma had gone to Syria but I still can’t believe it.’ //
baldric
its the father of the girl who has 9 children
not the young couple, they only have one..
at least that is what aog put.
I'll let the authorities decide, I agree with Mr Ali though, they should face the law if they return.

Maybe just maybe she can get back to her plans to be a Midwife.

Just seen it, are they meant to be coming as well?
Corny's response was to AOG suggesting Mr Ali and his nine children be got rid of.
she probably had romantic visions of being fed turkish delight by some Omar Sharif type geezer in dusky bedoiun tent. Silly moo, let the captains deal with it first once she's done 15 years in Midnight express we can take it from there.
No, they shouldn't be allowed back, but I bet they will be !!
// we definitely don't want them back here. //

Because a country cannot prevent its nationals from coming into th country. You should know this AOG. The then king agreed not to do this in.....

I will give you a clue - it was in King John's time
yup exclusion - usually called exile was banned by the Magna Carta
yup in 1215

Pres Trump has lalterly also discovered this in er 2017

Oh, Should they be allowed back here
in the sense that we know they have a right to come back here ?

Ah one of those AB questions to stimulate "debate" by quoting facts which are er NOT facts, [the opposite is the correct fact]

Normal day on AB then .....

We legally have to let them back but let the Turks jail them first, they can serve all of that sentence first. They'll get a shock at the conditions in Turkish jails.
NO NO NO ...
