The hair !!!!!!!!!
absolutely, YMB, I am delighted that our greatest peace time leader is to be immortalised in this way. Prepare for buckets of vitriol from the lefties though.
Lovely to see its about time.
Agreed with the previous answers and the poster.

Dave.
Pass the sick bag please !
Dear God. Can we never get rid of that woman!
Looking forward to the first pigeon that lands on her head :-)
Jenny...she is hanging around like a bad smell !
lol Anne !
mmmm Will Tony Blair ever get a statue?
Yeah- in clay
anne, that picture is the DM's mock up.
Fear not, the sculptor commissioned is Douglas Jennings (not Emanuel Santos).

A richly deserved Honour imo.
It(deservedly so) reflects her status as the greatest post - war PM we've ever had.

I am a fan of the great lady but that picture is too 'soft' looking and there is no handbag.
I think she deserves it but don't worry, students in the future will clamour to have it removed anyway.
Given time the miners and the minors will have it removed, they hate the best post war PM we have ever had.
There's a major problem with it.

It doesn't actually look anything like her.

Basically, the sculptor has put Shirley Bassey's hair on Nicholas Parsons' face.

However, despite my own feelings about her as a person and a politician, I think it's right that she gets a statue, and it's in the right place too.
baza

I wouldn't worry about the miners.

There aren't that many left.
