It's not so much 'new attacks' as people turning on vulnerable computers when they get to work on Monday and falling victim to the current Wanna Crypt attack.
If I still had a system using Windows XP (I don't), I'd be turning off all internet access until each and every PC and laptop had been checked, backed-up and patched after people got to work on Monday.

Microsoft issued a patch for this virus earlier in the year – but if the patch was not implemented by company IT staff, come Monday morning there could be many more organisations affected.
Support for XP ended in 2014, so this operating system is particularly vulnerable to the wanna crypt virus.
Adding to what sunny-dave says, I wonder if it would be prudent not to boot-up your works PC on Monday morning, at least until the IT guys have advised that it is safe to do so.
