Peter Pedant, People who continue to compare these attacks to attacks by the IRA or any other organisation have no concept of Islam. I've lost count of the number of times I've said there can be no comparison.
Usually when someone kills someone, there is a reason why.Perhaps that person is an enemy,or someone you don't like or even an accident. Can someone explain to me why these terrorist are doing this? We are not the enemy, they don't know who the people are that they are killing, and it certainly isn't an accident, so why?
Barsel, according to their philosophy, we are the enemy but, to our own detriment, many of us refuse to acknowledge it.
//Well said sunny dave //

The Muslim Council of Great Britain !! you must be joking.
^Ditto to that.

I've just seen The Mayor, Andy Burnham, calling for people to join a Vigil in Albert Square tonight, what a tempting target that will be, I sincerely hope I wrong.
I was thinking the same thing, Baldric.
// I've lost count of the number of times I've said there can be no comparison.// Ni [ between IRA and Muslim terrorism]

well my dear -1. they are both terrorists
2. they both let off bombs. 3. They both killed and maimed small children 4. they both were said to have had adherents/sleepers in the populations they were bombing 5.Innocent parties were blamed for political reasons.

well that's 5 !

I've lost count of the number of times I've drawn the comparison to people who are wilfully blind or deny the comparison to their own detriment.
[ sorry recycling a few comments there]
What are you on about Khandro?
Peter Pedant, learn - and then come back and tell me .
I haven't read the preceding 90 posts (assume it's the usual slapfight) but just thought I'd share this which came up on my radar. Not an easy read:

Graphic perhaps but it really hits home just how violent, sick, and brutal these kind of attacks are and the level of tragedy that dozens of families will be experiencing this morning.
Latest news bulletins are saying that the police "know the name" of the bomber.

//The Brotherhood, a movement that views western society as corrupting and “inherently hostile to Muslim interests”, has exerted “significant influence” on the MCB, the Muslim Association of Britain and “Britain’s largest Muslim student organisation”//

Perhaps Khandro "was on about" this.

There isn't really a "point" to it 10CS. Not everything is purely about function.
Islay, "What am I on about?" The Muslim Council of Great Britain is 'secretly' linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and if you don't know what that is, it's time to wise-up.
