So do I, ummmm. If there's no escape you would do what you could. That said, good for him. I listened to him on the news at lunch time. He said he threw one crate and then hit the attacker over the head with another. Made me chuckle - in the nicest possible way.

We had to do a course which basically said Run Hide Tell and last resort Fight with anything to hand. The company also had the Emergency services doing a drill through the weekend at the place. Sign of the times I suppose.

I admired the Romanian who chucked a crate at one - "I knew he would duck so I hit with another when he did so"

and the other (immigrant) who put his foot against the door and locked it -lucky about the key huh ? and basically said 'hah-ha you cant come in here!"

No doubting the bravery, I wonder though if some quality policing hadn't ended the life of the miserable scumbags, would they have had the crate wielder charged with assault and been paid compensation.

Stranger things have happened when self defence has been used.
