any thoughts - amongst the outrage at May being Charlie Hebdo and the Burning of the Quran... Comey has issued a pre testimony memorandum.
So far - he had said Trump hoped he would let Flynn go and did not order it
He was certain there was Russian interference in the election
that he was fired over the Russian thing ( "I believed that because the President has said it")
he took notes of it but usually didnt

Well, so far Trump's been called a liar and incompetent (or disrespectful of proper procedure), but we knew that already.

Well the hearing is still ongoing, and there is a lot that the Senators will see that we do not.

So far as I have heard so far, Trump has flirted dangerously with a line but probably has not quite crossed it. The most damning part is the account of a meeting where Comey met Trump alone, and in particular where Trump ordered everyone (including the Attorney General) out of the Office before that meeting. Everyone involved has made clear that this seriously violates proper procedure, and is wholly inappropriate.

What ex-Director Comey is now saying about the motivations for and the consequences of Russia's interference in the US election etc, regardless of any Trump connection, deserves to be rammed through the ears of those who continue to apologise for this president. Trump should be sharing that sense of outrage and concern, but instead he prefers to tell lies about the FBI and those who lead it. It says it all. Doesn't mean he's some sort of colluder or fifth columnist, but it does suggest he's a lying egotist who far from putting "America first" puts himself and his family first. Whether that is a matter for impeachment or not I don't know. There is probably nothing illegal but the nasty smell is overwhelming.

I think we'd have to wait until any report from the Senate Committee for that. A lot of requests for specific details have been answered by "I can't answer that in an open setting."

Well, we know they hacked the Democrat emails for one thing.
I did hear reports that they actually tried to hack into the voting machines, but I don't have many details or whether that is even true.
Whether it affected the outcome is not necessarily relevant.
