'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer' Pure, unashamed party political expediency.
Either that or the hidden, unelected Conservative Party grandees and bankers are now pulling her strings like puppet masters.
The Tories want her out but even they are not stupid enough to go for a leadership election until they have a single candidate they can crown in a rapid, uncontested (or rigged) election around the time of the Party conference.
I'm not especially political, but this Party has ruined Britain. The deal we get from the EU will be essentially a take-it or leave it offer to pay them EUR100bn to permit a sensible negotiotation over trade, or crash out.
The Tories always intended to crash out and blame it on EU intransigence.
Roll on the transfer of Migrants from France; queues as our trucks try to cross the border into the EU and hmore expensive goods as we get tariffs on everything.
But at least the Tories took back control. And then squandered both months of the 24-month negotiation period and then any semblance of succesful policies. And they want us to grant them power to screw up the Good Friday Agreement as well?
Not in my name.

I voted to leave but Mr Gove didn't persuade me. I made up my mind in 1992 that, given the opportunity to do so, I would vote to quit. At that time I believe Mr Gove was working as a junior reporter on Aberdeen's "Press & Journal".
I also don't consider myself a numptie.
But other than that, spot on old fruit!
