I just find it un imaginable now that I used to go to pubs and clubs with people smoking, get home stinking from head to toe. Gawd even in my office in the early days smokers had ash trays on their desks. Just delighted that we have put this behind us. Apparently 2 million have stopped since the ban, probably partially due to vaping but I do know that some that stopped because of the ban. Anyone here stop in 2007?

On the table next to me last weekend, in a gorgeous pub garden, there were four smokers and it all wafted right over us- onto our clothes, food etc. We ended up moving. Just doesn't seem fair.
Aye I agree Alba, I would never have smoked in a house or car of a non smoker, but in the same way I was once asked to put a cigarette out in my own house because the person did not like it!!
I never smoked near pregnant women or children but this little idiot made me smoke all the more just to pee him off!!

Eddie...well said.
This view held by some, that the Pubs decline is all down to the smoking ban is patently rubbish. Smokers now account for about 19% of the adult population of Wales.........in other words, over 80% people DON'T smoke !
Also, not all Pubs are in decline. we have 3 Wetherspoons in Swansea, and they are full every night of the week. If they can attract people, then so can other Pubs.

I'm glad there is a ban. At work we used to have people blowing smoke in our faces and flicking ash everywhere.
I used to smoke, and am quite appalled at myself now for smoking at restaurant tables and in non-smokers' homes. People are much more polite now.
Islay, what a cheeky wotsit to tell you not to smoke in your own home. He should have left if it was bothering him.
