For the record, I don't think we have more to fear from the far left than the far right, but that doesn't mean we have less to fear either. The extreme version of anything is worth taking seriously, either as an opponent or as a supporter. I'm obviously somewhat left-ist in many of my views, and extreme far-left people annoy me seriously because they allow people to ignore the real argument in favour of focusing on the idiots who misrepresent it.

But is one extreme version more dangerous than another? I don't think so.
