Cornwall is stuck out into the Atlantic and sufferers with rain. It also tends to be rocky so the water doesnt have a lot of place to go especially when the problem is compounded by a long dry spel lthat means the earth is hard and doe not absorb the water.

Has always been this way, we just get 'in the face' News coverage these days.

Do you have any proposals on how to deal with this, remembering even you beloved Labour Party had nothing in its giveaway 'money tree' manifesto?

There is government money allocated to flood defences, but what could be done in this case is a bit of a poser.

Storm drains/channels like on the continent are probably the long term answer but that will take a long time and I'm sure would pose its own problems like concrete channels being built through the lesser spotted Newts habitat etc.
