I didn't see another thread, Tilly......but guess this is the gist and someone acted a little too quickly......anyway.....it'll be interesting to see what happens to/with this chap.....doesn't seem the sort to sit down, behave and get on with his education....x

There must be others on this thread who sent their children off to Uni and wishing them to.....meet other people from all walks of life....from different countries and cultures.....learn and broaden.....(and learn to cook.... ;-))

I did.....but this isn't what I want in places of higher education.....
yes....opposing views and opinions.....different ways of life.....but not this guy.....he's harmful.....
Should he be chucked out and his place given to someone who would value the education he's being offered?

I did read the link Talbot but the conversation on here seems to be about the previous thread being removed and comments made on it. That's what's caused my confusion. However, that matters not. What matters is what will happen to this student who has abused his role and has tweeted inflammatory opinions.

I happen to know Dalston very well. I lived there (well at least down the road in Stoke Newington) for 24 years. When I first lived there it was unusual to see a non-white face. There was one in my primary school of about 200 pupils. When I left there was scarcely a white face to be seen (apart from the Turks). Now this creep suggest it is being “colonised” by white people. It was a predominantly white area which was taken over by black and Turkish people in the 1960s-70s and many other nationalities have followed on since. “White Flight” facilitated this. The white people that are returning now (and good luck to them) are simply replacing some of the black people that have been rehoused in more affluent areas such as Kensington.

The man is a complete idiot and how he managed to gain entry to Cambridge University is anybody's guess.
