A 3 year transitional period 'with continued free movement of people, single market access, a customs union arrangement and potentially oversight from a supranational tribunal structure' (whatever one of those is).

Is this what you voted for, leavers?

The Conservatives are criminally incompetent. Perhaps you imagined that the words above are my, thoughts. They well might have been, of course, since I agree with them. However, they formed the headline for Matthew Parris’s column in Saturday’s Times. (Their site has a pay-wall, so I have no link for you and, in any case, I read it in...

Talbot, that more demonstrates what May happen during the 'negotiation' process. Very funny.
The Tories seem to be running around like headless chickens on BREXIT.

We are less than 2 years away from when we have to leave, and yet we are no further forward than we were this time last year.

Which makes me think, even more, that its never going to happen.
dream on mikey, there is no way for it not to happen. There is no A50b - forget the whole think because of whining remoaners.

No, Mikey, were just going to have a 3 year interim period now. Ah-hem.

I haven't heard Merkel or Junker's response to this proposal. Anyone have a ferret around and find one?
TTT...I am on record for accepting that BREXIT will happen, but that was just after the Referendum.

Here we are, all this time later and we are no further forward.
so what is: "Which makes me think, even more, that its never going to happen." - all about then?
well it took year of farting about with that treacherous haridan woman and A50 takes two years anyway so even if Cameron had invoked it straight away we'd still be going through the process. If extraction from tyranny takes time then so be it.
Mikey, //The Tories seem to be running around like headless chickens on BREXIT.//

Your hero Mr Corbyn would show ‘em, eh Mikey?! Hard Brexit and no messing! You'd have to be happy with that!! ;o)
TTT....even if BREXIT does happen, I doubt whether it will take the form that most of the people who voted to leave wanted

Almost all the people I meet, that voted to leave, say they did so because "of all the foreigners over here, taking our jobs"

Well, I can't see any mass expulsions happening any time soon.
mikey, please answer my question at 10:39
TTT....I thought I had !

OK.....at the very least, I don't think BREXIT will happen in the way that we all thought it would, and there is a good chance that it might not happen at all.
at 10:35 you said: "I am on record for accepting that BREXIT will happen," - make your mind up!
TTT....thought I had made that point clear !

OK.....when the Referendum result was announced, I accepted that it was going to happen. But now, over a year later, we seem to be no further down the line. And that is why I have my doubts.

The Cabinet seem to be all over the place, with Ministers at odds with each other, in public.

Mrs May doesn't seem to be able to run a tight ship, and is fast appearing as the wrong choice for Tory Leader. Although, we should remember that she campaigned to STAY, as did a lot of her compatriots.
well I agree Mrs May has to go. The Tory party is nothing if not pragmatic, even she will be aware, it's a matter of timing I guess but expect a change of leader within a year. Possibly a stalking horse will challenge and DD will take the crown.

I'm not sure anyone wants the post, Tora. Seems like a poisoned chalice to me. The Cons could find themselves in the same position as Labour, with a leader that very few want and a bit of a radical. Maybe someone who's even more opposed to Brexit?
I think with a new leader and a proper manifesto we should see Jezza off. the problem was last time we had the world worst campaign and a manifesto that upset our core voters. A blind man could see the problems with our last manifesto.
Mikey, //Although, we should remember that she campaigned to STAY//

Although Mrs May was a 'Remainer' I didn't see her campaigning. I thought she kept a very low profile - but don't let that stop you spinning.

Tora, the crux of any new manifesto would be how to deal with Brexit. The current infighting would suggest that this wasn't possible to do in a unified way. There is always infighting within political parties and it's usually healthy for democracy. But not in this case I'm sure you'll agree.
Mikey: both Mrs May and Jezza "campaigned" to stay but both are reluctant remainers toeing the party line. Indeed Jezza was berated after the vote for not really putting his heart and soul into it and Mrs May was barely seen at all. Easy to see that they are both really brexiters.
