If he is at the landfill site they are going to have a hard time finding DNA. It could take quite a while.

I am surprised that the Police are still actively working the case after this length of time. (Harsh though that may sound).
Let's suppose no trace of him is ever found and after so many years, he's declared dead...

Then one day further down the line he turns up alive... What would happen then?
I heard on the news this morning that the police stopped searching the landfill site last month.

NoM, I have no idea, but maybe he could be charged with wasting police time?
This is a different site. The one they searched was in Cambridgeshire. This is an incinerator site in Suffolk.
Would be great if his family got " answers " though .

Anne....yes I agree. What a great pity it is that the Police didn't start looking for him properly last year, instead of months after the event.
Mikey, will you please stop blaming the police. They were misinformed - as you well know. They can only act on information available. They're not psychic!

We shall have to wait until the result of the Inquiry, but I doubt if the Police will end up smelling of roses somehow.
Mikey, your complaint against the police has always been that they didn’t search the site in Cambridgeshire soon enough. They didn’t do it because the information they were given was inaccurate and, hence, misleading. Having been given more accurate information they searched it intensively – and found nothing. Corrie isn’t there. You don't know where he is, I don't know where he is, and the police don't know where he is, so why are you holding them culpable? What is your problem?
