No more news at present. I used to like him. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease a few years ago.

he was ill for a long time - he was cancelling gigs five or more years ago, sad to say.
Sad to hear this, I love his music.
Watched an old concert from the 70’s last year, and it was wonderful.
Wish I had seen him live.
A sad ending to his life.

Not only was he a great Singer, he was a brilliant Guitarist.

I know Mikey that you appreciate Classical Music. Have a listen to Glen Campbell playing William Tell Overture on an Acoustic Guitar:-

R.I. P Glen

Hans, thank you posting that, emphasises what a gifted musician he was.
Hi Alba....I am pleased that you liked my posting.

During Glen's final concerts in 2012, his daughter Ashley accompanied him on stage so as to keep an eye on her dad. She's a really good Banjo player. Listen to her playing with him. :-

Hans.
Thank you Hans, unfortunately that link isn't working for me at the moment.
I'll pop over to youtube later and have a 'pig-out' on his music. :-) x
We saw him live at the Birmingham Hippodrome about 30 years ago, he was fantastic.
Ashley was on the One Show BBC a couple of months ago and she positively lit up whilst speaking about her Father, lovely lass and some super clips here ta.
I must correct my earlier comment. We actually saw him on 12 April 1975, over 42 years ago!

Where does the time go to?
