Whilst I feel for anyone affected in the area by this low level disorder - all this thread has done is make me wonder what happened to 'Thread of the Week'.
Returning to the thread (there's a novelty!) we holidayed regularly in Cromer when our youngest was a tot, and it was always wonderful. The end-of-the-pier shows and Carnival Week were wonderful, really old-fashioned in a good way.

What a shame if that tradition is to be spoiled.
And for years I had a caravan near Cromer, Andy..........so close yet so........ ;-)....x
//you'll never get a pint in cromer with these attitudes ...// you'll not get a pint either if you open your mouth and a Suffolk accent comes out....

....and I've played in the theatre on the pier :)
Crikey!....I could have sat next to Andy watching GoodG!!!!.....x
I did some litter picking on the sands - Community Service.
Why would I, AOG? Pasta linked a rape to the trouble that happened in Cromer with no evidence whatsoever. A bit like Tommy Robinson and Katie Hopkins do.
May have spotted you too, Mamya.......I had to sell the caravan when the first MrG ran off with a girl from Cromer......well he didn't actually run far.....he just stayed in Cromer.... :-(
//Crikey!....I could have sat next to Andy watching GoodG!!!!//
stayed at the hotel de paris many times, we could have passed each other on the pier gness :-)
Gness: Cromer, Tavira, Byzance, Stratford - must be fate!

I trust you passed safely, Ael.......only there was once a slight incident with a passer by and the fishing net I was carrying for my son.... :-(
GoodG.....the fates have tried so hard......and yet we just keep missing each other......you're one lucky chap!.....xx
oh, that was you then
I can't be bothered to read all the previous pages - have we had the hilarious joke about Catching Crabs in Cromer yet?
I'm so sorry, Ael.....as I flung my arm up to point to the speedboat I completely forgot I was holding the fishing net......did the cold compress help?...x
s-Dave - I was going to do it, then couldn't be bothered ;-)
I have no desire to be linked to Tommy Robinson or Katey Hopkins. Those who know me would see them as being the last people I'd ever agree with. I'd have thought most on AB would think the same.
I simply saw the rape story and thought that *some* in Cromer *may* have jumped to a conclusion...rightly or wrongly.
Sorry if my post was taken wrongly.
