In one heated exchange, a man can be heard saying: 'How can you use dogs against a people's protest?'
A police officer is then heard to reply: 'If you do not leave the field you will be arrested.'

So members of the community can be threatened with arrest on THEIR field but travellers can do what the hell they like ??

Its not trespass if there is right of access for the public and given that this was a public sports field one would think that there is right of access ergo the travellers were not trespassing!

I have been told by an impeccable source that the Police have allowed them to come on to this site in such numbers. Whether this is true is being scrutinised and investigated. If and I repeat IF, this is true, then the residents in the locality will be very angry as this land belongs to the Council and NOT to the Police.
