it's down to individual governments whose names get put forward. West Indian countries clearly rate their cricketers more highly than Britain rates Boycott. A question of nationality, not colour, and Boycott's just made an oaf of himself again.
I must say I was surprised by the assault charge - everyone I know said "Boycott strike someone? Forward defensive, surely?" But he had his day in court and lost.

I hate that saying. Someone used it recently on here referring to the parents of Nicole Brown Simpson. People do get wrongfully convicted and it isn’t always because they didn’t make the most of their 'day in court’. People have been known to lie to get others convicted.
