I know of one person suing them for a substantial amount of money because of incompetence.

My neighbours husband died in there but before that happened he was in for about 4 months and they just sort of 'forgot' about him. He was sort of cared for but it was minimal if you know what I mean.

My own experience with QA has been hit and miss with one consultant giving me the number for a private shrink as he thought my fears that the operations I had were not working as they should were all in my mind.... Turns out I was absolutely right and he just didn't want to believe he had done anything wrong.

no alan milburn asked non execs what the most useless and intrusive thing they had to put up with - was and they said
hospital visits

so he (AM) made them unlawful unless only done by CQC which trumpeted 'light touch regulation' - 2004 - coz hospitals were so good you see they didnt need regulation

he has since denied this is a valid interpretation of what occurred
