Young Mans Letter From Home Office For Deportation
A young man appeared on Good Morning Britain this morning with a letter ordering him to leave the uk within 10 days or be jailed.
He was born and reared in the uk and is as much a uk citizen as Theresa May!
Now it transpires that it was an error which was "apologised for" in a curt email from the Home Office.
This country is run by a clown government and a Home Office that is totally incompetent.
These are the people who are negotiating our exit from the E U. God help us!

Oi! not me I dont :-)
//The Home Office does make an exceptionally large number of mistakes, though.//
Yes they do and undoubtedly this is one of them but given the size and the probability of the '5th' columnists that is hardly surprising. What I would take issue with is if this is not looked into and someone re-educated or fired if a repeat offender.
//Lol that is the second funniest thing I have read today! //
Isley, yet again ignore the OP and just have a dig at a poster.

/// It's likely that this wasn't due to some pen-pushing jobsworth Home Office official. I would wager that this was down to a miskeyed entry into a database on their mainframe. ///
According to one ABer, mistakes happen that is why they put 'rubbers' on the end of pencils, (I would have used the word erasers, but hey ho)
'Pencils' a little behind the times don't you think? Tipex came in handy when we used typewriters, but now as you say this was down to a computer miss keyed entry, so easily corrected if one spots a mistake.

AOG - //'Pencils' a little behind the times don't you think? //
Since you can walk into any high street stationers and find a selection of pencils with rubbers on the end, no, I don't think.
// ... but now as you say this was down to a computer miss keyed entry, so easily corrected if one spots a mistake. //
I didn't 'say' - I made no reference to how the error occurred.
If you want to have a meaningless pop at me, do try and do from a position of accuracy - otherwise you are in danger of looking small-minded and nasty for the sake of it.
