Nhs Workers Demand 3.9% Pay Rise
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/he alth-41 274088
These workers have seen their pay drop by 15% since 2010, and this rise is only 1% in real terms, as inflation is now 2.9%.
If Police and Prison Officers deserve their recently announced pay rise, and they do, without doubt, then NHS Staff do as well
Discuss.!

Everyone gets a nice (and some say deserved) pay rise so happy workers one presumes. Until the next union man decides that it isn't enough, but that's another story.
Is that going to improve services? Is that going to make waiting lists shorter? Is that going to make A&E less hectic?
At this stage I think there is enough money in the NHS it is just very badly run.

Personally I think it is time to amend the 1% pay freeze. I dont think any group shuold benefit more than another but what I would like to see is the extra cash going to the front line not mostly into managers(who mostly should be fired as there are too many of them).
I also disagree with 'making up' that would make the whole pain we have gone through pontless and lets face it the vast majority in the private sector have not sven had a 1%.
