Met him when I was a contestant on 15 to 1, a really nice man. RIP.

Yes I also met him. Sad news. 15 to 1 was always my favourite quiz. I was very disappointed when I watched the new version to see that it had been padded out to an hour or so, with chat between the usually very dull contestants and Ms Toksvig. Just do the *** questions and get on with it!

15-1 was only a small part of Mr Stewart's career. He was a prolific TV producer in the 1970s and 80s and was involved with a number of very popular series of that time. Among his productions were "Harry Worth", "Love Thy Neighbour", "Bless This House", "The Rag Trade" and "Paradise Island".
