Puerto Rico now has no electricity, so presumably has no sewerage or water treatment capacity either.

How on earth are the 3.5M people going to survive ?

I understand that Puerto Rico is an "Unincorporated territory" and that all its citizens are by law, natural-born citizens of the United States.

So I fully expect Washington to be footing the bill for all the repairs needed after this disaster.

There are other places in the area that are not so fortunate.
Right with you there Mikey. I'm actually in the middle of composing a stern note to the US government on this very subject.
I feel it's the most I can reasonably do, having already posted a short comment on an internet chat forum to comfort those affected.
