If he's serving 22 life sentences fortunately the chance of him ever being let out on the streets again would appear non-existent.
There's no case for dropping moral standards.
Pity he wasn't caught earlier. Good he now has been.
Hopefully he'll never see the outside of his prison walls again.
Sorry to see you advocating lynching; I thought better of you than that. I'm happy to leave him to his numerous life sentences.
It doesn't say whether he'll ever be let out. I very much doubt he will.
It doesn't seem to say that he'll ever be let out on our streets again.

I'd be quite content to for him to spend the remainder of his miserable life behind bars where he can cause no more damage.
Well he shouldn't see the light of day again but you never know when some Lord Longford type will try and get him released, the old Saddam Shuffle would prevent that.
a) We don't have Capital punishment in this country any more.....
b) Disgusting though his crimes were, they never would have fitted the circumstances that CP was reserved for....
c) Lord Longford was singularly unsuccessful in his efforts to have Myra Hindley released.

JTH, just becaue the law dictates something does not mean that everyone has to agree with it. Abide by it yes, but not agree,

I really dont see the point of keeping vermin like this alive at great cost to the tax payer in HM holiday camps. And there is also the possibility in the future some liberal will get him released. Bet the 'ooman rites lot are rubbing their hands with glee at creaming more of the tax payer to defend this vile speciemn.
The death penalty can cost the taxpayer more than a life sentence. That is the case in the USA.
The Mail is rather vague, but he was tried and sentenced in Britain last year for offences committed abroad, itself a welcome development. He'll be eligible to apply for parole in about 2041. I doubt he'll get it.

I hope not jno.
If he had been tried in Malaysia, I think he would have been hanged or shot.
I'd also be looking at why, after he was told by the organisation placing him to leave and leave the area, the pastor reinstated him....
A strange thing for the pastor to do....

If the death penalty could be brought back for paedophiles I'd not be sorry....
YMB - // I really dont see the point of keeping vermin like this alive at great cost to the tax payer in HM holiday camps. //

The point is, we are a civilised country, and as such, we don't condone state-sponsored murder.

I doubt his prison experience will be a 'holiday camp' - child abusers are segregated as a rule, so he will probably be serving his sentence in solitary confinement.
Then, Andy I am confessing to being uncivilised because sixty years on I can see clearly the face of this man, living in your civilised country..
I can see his expressions and dirty pleasure at what he made me do and what he did to me......
I can still see and feel his semen though I had no idea what it was....

I can still see the pattern of the wallpaper and the crooked little picture of a deer on the wall that I tried to stare at till it was over....
This man was in my life from the day I was born.....I was sometimes left in his home to be looked after so I wonder what he did when I was too young to remember and where the photographs he took are...I just hope he destroyed them when he was dying......

Had he been sent to prison I would have taken no pleasure in knowing he was in solitary confinement....that would still be too good...

I was happy the day I heard he had died.......I hope it was slow and painful....and that is what I hope for any paedophile........ Gx

Where's Eddie? We need expert insight on this, particularly segregation and treatment by other lags.

I am able to hold my view - with difficulty I admit - because I have the luxury of the absence of personal experience.

With your experience, I am sure I would feel exactly as you do.

We are all the product of our experience, and indeed, the absence of experience, and that is why our views differ.

I struggle to maintain my outlook, based as it is on the need not to feel my baser (more human?) instincts on this issue - and I always sympathise with anyone forced to feel differently through direct experience, as opposed to knee-jerk moralistic hysteria.
Thank you, Andy...... :-)

I'm not EDDIE but I can tell you he will be put on a sex offenders wing with the other sex offenders.
