The net seems to be closing for "National Action"

"Detective Chief Superintendent Martin Snowden, head of the North East Counter Terrorism Unit, said: "Those who promote extreme right-wing views are looking to divide our communities and spread hatred.

"This will not be tolerated and those who do so must be brought to justice."

""Those who promote extreme right-wing views are looking to divide our communities and spread hatred. " - quite right, why is Islam exempt?
Question Author
TTT...they are not exempted.

Until those two become the same under legislation there is a clear difference between them.
I wonder if hurling "What abaaat the Muslims?" into every discussion of the (British/English) Far-right instead of denouncing the reasons for these arrests, etc. could be viewed as being an 'apologist' for said far/extreme right?

It certainly seems to be viewed as an acceptable accusation when the boot is on the other foot.

Removal of *all* extremists from any ability to cause harm and distress is only to be applauded.
the point is that Islam Practice the full range of the far right activities with barely a mention from those like the original poster and if anyone else brings it up they are howled done as racists. You can't have it both ways!
Question Author
Jack...some people will use the "what about the Muslims" every time a far-right incident is reported.
I don't want it both ways.
A debate about the nefarious activites about National Action (in isolation of whatever is done in the name of Islam) would be perfectly acceptable.
Question Author
Jack...its a classic obfuscation ploy, by the Usual Suspects, so that it clouds the topic under discussion.

it amounts to a kind of tacit approval of groups like National Action.

Look what happened in the recent case of the Surgeon that was attacked outside his Mosque.

The reaction from those Usual Suspects ranged from ::::

"Well, yes its a dreadful thing but you can understand why they do this, because of what (a very few ) Muslims are doing"

To ::::

"Well, who knows, this Surgeon could be another Doctor Shipman !"
I'm so sorry it detracts from your - lets have a go at the right wingers except the fluffy bunny wonder muslims - thread, but surely it's fair comment to mention those that you usually revere that think more or less the same as those you do not.
You could always answer the question TGT safe in the knowledge that it is fully acknowledged that Islam/muslims are not innocent in these matters....
Question Author
TTT...but this thread is not about Muslims....its about a dangerous, proscribed organisation, which seem to have extant British servicemen within their ranks.
All those spewing hatred should be stopped in their tracks - I was simply pointing out in relation to your response TTT, that one is a proscribed organisation - the other a World religion.

Wherever hate emanates from it needs stopping.
Question Author
Here is a list of proscribed organisations, from the Home Office ::

Quite a few Muslim ones I notice.
Meanwhile Hezbollah flags galore at the Al Quds march and not one arrest.
We live in a police state. Have no doubt, put your head and mouth above the parapet. Expect your door kicked in at 4am. All in the name of national security.
I wonder if DCS Snowden had a slip of the tongue moment when he said 'divide our communities'.
Last I heard we were all in it together, as one doncha know.
" "Those who promote extreme right-wing views are looking to divide our communities and spread hatred. "

And those with extreme left?

Surely we shold be looking to combat all hate and violence?
From the link:

Six are also being questioned about preparing acts of terrorism and police say these arrests relate to threats against individuals rather than communities.

So are they dividing communities....or are they wannabe assassins?
Divide Communities, that's a laugh, For a start,
Rochdale,
Oldham,
Oxford
Newcastle,
Have these not been divided by Asians? wrong?
NA might be worried we're turning into Canada where a man was just sent to prison for 6_months for writing, on a park bench, 'Muslims go home'. (By a Muslim judge)
