He is 100% correct in that it was lower educated / older people panicking over immigration that led to Brexit. I have said on here several times how I heard old people in the voting station queue saying to each other they were fed up with immigrants and were going to vote Leave. Then the next morning the young single mums in the Muslim run corner shop, all cheering...

Must be a lot of xenophobia in the NHS as I and all my colleagues were last week questioning why a 73 year old Romanian who didn't have a word of English to go by and required an interpreter was having a big operation for a long-standing bowel condition.

you're not speaking up, you are deriding the leavers. I don't think I have heard any positive reasons why you voted remain, you etc just continue to deride, berate and ridicule those that voted leave. From the start of the whole thing long before the referendum till now I have heard hardly any good reasons to remain. The remainers focus entirely on project fear, you might have won if you'd given us any good reasons to remain.

TTT....16,141,241 people voted to remain, not just me. That is 48.1% of those that voted, on a turnout of 72%.
I accept that Britain will leave the EU, although not anytime soon, if the progress shown so far by David Davies, and Mrs May is anything to go by.

Mikey/Eddie, I don’t believe that immigration was the sole reason that most ‘Leavers’ voted to leave, but that said, if people are concerned about uncontrolled immigration, what’s wrong with them acting upon their concerns? I’d be obliged for an answer to that please.

True. The whole thrust of the remain campaign seemed to be about trying to shame anyone who was thinking about voting leave into changing their mind by calling them a racist, or just stupid. This rather than presenting good reasons to remain.
A completely counter productive tactic - the same one that nearly resulted in a yes vote for Scottish independence.
People don't like being insulted, and they react against it. It will continue though of course, as Project Fear morphs into Project 'It's all your fault you wrinkly old little Englanders'.

I felt more sorry for the UK resident who had their op cancelled for lack of a bed.
