I suppose it was asking too much that all her fellow Pakistanis would be proud to support her as she takes her place at this prestigious seat of learning.

Ignore the trolls and the jeans stay I say. What say you?

Mikey, Whoever it is she's being 'undeservedly castigated'. Have you read some of the comments below that article?
Of course I have .... I am merely pointing out that I am doubtful if the photo in the DM is her or not...just like others on here have done.

The Daily Mail isn't the only news outlet carrying the story.
Douglas, I agree.
well the AB right on brigade will be along soon to tell you it's just a few extremists!
I don't think that labelling the AB right on brigade as 'a few extremists' is helpful, Tora. :-)
// well the AB right on brigade will be along soon to tell you it's just a few extremists!//
- no I think they will say - let her wear what she wants so long as it complies with the current law up to and including a bikini....

Peterhouse Crazies ( yeah yeah I know - "where peterhouse den?" and "wot crazy mean in relation to AB?") have voted not to have an LGBT speaker er speak to them - as it may upset people inside and outside of the room
I mean that is one of the points of a uni innit ?

Alan CLarke ( who he den?) was invited to speak to the young gentlemen at Oxford and said " yeah OK it will be " Adolf Hitler - amazing war leader terrible peace time leader" " - the thesis would be much better than Churchill at his job.
He was disinvited and it was ... 1980 I think
I don't know what's happened to this thread since I last posted. Some people seem to be writing jibberish.
I've looked at pics of known photos of Malala and the woman in the DM story. I'm sure they are not of the same person.
If it is not Malala then is the person who took the photo mistaken or mischievous?
It won't matter if it is or isn't when the instrument of Allah strikes, Cloverjo, the damage is done.
Cloverjo, similar reports are being carried by several news outlets.
I fear you are right Dougie.

This poor girl will have to spend her whole life looking over her shoulder as it is, and I think that the DM was amiss in raising the subject in the first place...shame on them and other media for doing so.
Mikey, you really think this should have been kept secret by the press? Why? If it's on social media it's already in the public domain. These people should be named and shamed - not protected.
What a lovely religion.

And unfortunately due to Blairs policy (continued by Camoron) of letting all and sundry into the country she will have to look over her shoulder in this country possibly even more.

It seems that the same photograph is shown in other press publications but nowhere has it been verified that it is actually her.
It doesn't matter which newspapers carry the story and photo. I still don't think it's Malala. Who posted it and why? Who knows? There are lots of idiots out there.
Cloverjo, for argument's sake, let's say you're right and the trolls and all the newspapers have got it wrong - it's not her. Is it acceptable that any Muslim girl should be subjected to that?

Naomi, no, of course it's not alright. I was just saying I don't think it's Malala.
