If this had happened in the U.S of A and a British subject had been refused treatment in a U.S hospital, there would have been an AB outcry fiercely abusing the barbaric American health system.
Now it seem that the UK is finally waking up and "smelling the coffee."

Addenbrokes is even more strict in this than I told you.
Last week I went to a clinic in outpatients, as soon as I got to the desk I was asked how long have you lived in the UK?
I told them and waited my turn, the doctor then told me to go to X ray, X ray again asked how long had I been in the UK. They took the X ray and sent me to have a blood test , again I was asked ''how long have you been in the UK?'' Finally I had to give a urine sample and take it to another clinic. Yes, once again I was asked 'How long have you been in the UK?'' Even more daft as the clinic staff know me by sight now.

TTT, I am afraid to tell you the Spanish NHS is as good as the the British. Funnily enough, fully equipped hospitals, appointments available on-line within a day or two for non urgent consultations with GP, don't have to deal with your infamous receptionists who apparently decide whether you need to have an appointment or not, and so on.
Didn't strike me that was at all Ummm but if he was then my apologies- I don't come on here frequently enough anymore to keep tabs on who is a foaming at the mouth racist and who is a cutting edge 'sarcastist', in any event someone else as stupid as me will read it take it seriously and think it's an okay thing to say on here.
I know you have. Unfortunately any of today's youngsters who may have read it may think of it as an allegory. The Conquest book documents the reality between 1918 and Stalin's death. No allegory - literal truth.
And all the "intellectual" set and every fashionable lefty in the West (including the Roosevelts) admired this man. Just as the Chomskys supported Castro and Chavaz.
They never admit they're wrong, do they?
