I lived in a house that had a bricked in window. It was bricked in before we moved there in about 1947.

What difference did it make to the economy if you had a window. This must be one of the most stupid taxes.

I've heard of it but it was repealed shortly before I was born.

It's been suggested that blocking light out coincided with a sharp increase in the incidence of rickets.
