No suggestion here of arson of course. But these people are out every weekend at this time of year, and I can't see how they are going to manage in the short term, insurance or no insurance.

In a country, where so many people still support the tearing apart of live wild creatures, by packs of dogs, should we be so surprised when things like this happen ?

I couple of days ago, there were some people on here, admittedly only a very few, that seemed glad when 5 people were killed in a car crash.

What hope do we have of engendering a love of animals ?

1) the horse wasn't killed by a pack of dogs.

2) don't remember anyone saying they were 'glad' that 5 people were killed

3) I think most folk wouldn't want to see harm done to any animal, on other hand, there is the badger cull... :-(
