The man has dug himself a hole, and cannot climb out of it. The porn allegation has been around since 2009. It was in the report into Government Leaks then. It also came up in evidence to the Leverson inquiry on Press standards in 2011. On both occassions Green did not do anything about it.
The allegations have resurfaced because a female Conservative activist made a claim that Green behaved inappropriately toward her. So the press brought up the porn allegation again
If the allegation is untrue, Green can sue the newspapers for libel. The fact that he hasn’t is telling.

"There is a phrase ‘you can’t put fingers on a keyboard’ so I can’t say that but the computer was in Mr Green’s office, on his desk, logged in, it is his account, his name, in between browsing pornography he was sending emails from his account, his personal account, reading documents, writing documents and it was just impossible, it was sort of exclusive and extensive, that it was ridiculous to suggest that anybody else could have done it.”"

// If he was indeed watching porn, (and there is no proof that he was) he may have been on his lunch break. //
Grasping at straws there AOG. Even in Parliament doors have locks. Are we to believe that a burglar broke into his office, hacked past his computer login and watched a bit of porn before breaking out again? That doesn’t sound credible or likely to me.
Perhaps politicians lie to us so much because they know that there are people will believe them, no matter how incredible the lie.
