I thought that when I read it this morning, emmie. Welcome them all in - and then pay them to go home. There's sensible use of the taxpayers' money!

isn't it just, sure the so called indigenous population will be delighted at this, or not as the case may be.

Germany is not the only country to offer money to go home, but its strange that Germany of all places, the one with the constantly open door policy should remotely take this stance.
Was it not offered a few weeks back by the UK Gov?
Is it the case you have to 'offer money to go home' but can't just make them go home?

not sure, perhaps someone will know, i mean if people want to go home they should, but whether the taxpayer should foot the bill is another matter.
emmie, some of us thick posters said that Germany (Merkel) had got their policy totally wrong re the so called refugee crisis ... it seem there is some kind of admission that we were right all along.

talbot agree, we have tied ourselves in knots over whether we can deport rough sleepers back to the EU, now Germany has done much the same. strange world we live in...

no idea, but if you lived in Syria which has had the hell bombed out of it, what would you do, stay put i expect.
