Of course there are freemasons in the Police like there aare Free masons in many professions I am sure (No I am not one - never been invited !!)

As for whether or not they are "thwarting the progress of women and people from black and minority ethnic communities" is an entirely different ball game.

Once again we have accusations with no proof, it is just too easy to smear or blame someone with no comeback these days.

And if they have proof individual (or groups) of officers are doing this then take it to the Police investigation and lets see them in Court.

Well it is known that plod has it's share of these boy scouts but the government makes the rules so I can only assume that if they are "blocking" it's by illegal means and thus they should be subject top disciplinary action or prosecution as appropriate.

As i said above, if the Police Federation have the proof then they know the right channels to put it to. Let's get the individual officers out of the Force, sorry Service.

My point is that the PF themselves have made these allegations, and they are in a much better position to judge these matters than you or I.

If what they say is true, then it may be nigh on impossible to prove, as the masons will stick to each other like poo to a blanket.

And therein lies the problem. I am getting so annoyed with people spouting what they think knowing that mud sticks whether it is true or not. To me it undermines our basic principle that you are innocent until proven Guilty.

A large number of senior police officers are Freemasons , it has always been that way and always will. Likewise most senior male council and local authority personal are also Masons.
