Even by the (admittedly very low) standards of the tin-foil-hat-wearers of California this is bonkers ...

I love the concept that it hydrates you better - which is useful because the diarrhoea is going to dehydrate you something shocking ...

Everything is so sterile these days that we don't build up any immunity and everyone has an allegy or is floored by the slightest infection. Also, the stuff in tap water isn’t exactly appetising either.
Chlorine
Fluorine compounds
Trihalomethanes (THMs)
Salts of:
- arsenic
- radium
- aluminium
- copper
- lead
- mercury
- cadmium
- barium
Hormones
Nitrates
Pesticides
We need a few germs.

Emmie....if my memory serves me correctly, you live in the centre of London. If I lived there, I might be tempted to buy some water, if only to make drinks with.
I lived for nearly 2 years in the late 80's, in a hotel in Russell Square, and the water really wasn't very pleasant, but perhaps its changed now.

Errr.. I lived for several years in a house in Calderdale which only had untreated water piped from a spring. I never caught anything, it was nice water - unlike the hard, chlorine-tasting stuff we now have, which I can't bear to drink, so I now buy bottled. Have I missed something in the article that says don't drink spring water? Probably, it's lateish. :)
