Persecuted Christians
We hear an awful lot of guff about muslims suffering from hate-speech - now since 1st of Jan.a prisonable offence in Germany and spreading, - but who will speak up for the murder of thousands of Christians? Why are our politicians not saying more, (Nigel Farage excepted) , could it be that there are few votes to be gained from speaking out?

Assuming you are referring to killings in the Middle East and generally outside Europe, that is up to the countries concerned so the question should be answered by them.

But it is Breibart.

Slightly unfair perhaps:

And I have heard other politicians mention it :
the trouble is, there are not high profile things but carry on often unnoticed while more spectacular persecutions go on and take the media spotlight

The pope tells us how more about how we should treat immigrants into Europe as if they were "Joseph and Mary" entering Bethlehem, but far less on the slaughter of Christians throughout the world.
Baldric; I find your continual insulting non-sequiturs to everything I say without ever addressing the subject itself, childish and boring, even ichkeria and ymfbg (normally sparring partners) have looked into this issue and come up with detailed answers - is this beyond your mental ability?

Excellent speech by MP Jim Shannon here which outlines some of the thousands being persecuted:

//I would suggest that if that applied to a different group it wouldn't be so easily dismissed and trivialised//
Other groups organise themselves into lobby groups and effect change. Other groups stand up for what is right in the face of discrimination.
Other groups have been on (and still are) the receiving end of discrimination from religious groups.
If religious groups face discrimination, then they should do what other groups do. Stand their ground and demand equality.
...unless of course, they’re waiting for others to do it on their behalf.
