Trump's Mental Health And Why People Are Discussing It

I heard the live interview with the author of this book on "Today" this morning, and Michael Wolff made a good defence of his legations.
Even if only half of them are true, then the Trump situation is worse than we thought.

Trump's behaviour has been cited as a subject of concern by over 100 professional psychiatrist s. It's not hard to spot. The constant backstabbing , vitriol, lying, over reactions. Plus the huge number of accounts by ex-staffers (very few stay long) describing his deranged behaviour... he blatantly is not well. As for "policies" (as if he ever had any...

Komo; I have to concede that his eating at Mc Donald's is a bit of a worry. (btw. Thanks)
Back to the OP;
'Trump's Mental Health And Why People Are Discussing It.'
The reason is simple, they couldn't nail him on the trumped up (pun intended) charges on Russia, so someone thought up using a version of the infamous American 'Mad-house racket'.
But even some of his critics accept that his IQ, though it isn't quite as high as he claims, it is about 150, so being a 'moron' won't stick and they will have to think of something else, (possibly he is an extra-terrestrial, and ineligible for office!), and so it will continue until the next election - which he will probably win.

// Paranoid obsession is, I believe, a likely sign of failing mental health.// someone
christ then why are they saying the President is obviously not deranged ? well - this IS AB
You dont need a president to run the Gt American Republic - Nixon proved that - up to 95% of his time was spent discussing how to get out of Watergate ( he didnt ) - and amerikee wasnt obviously badly governed.
Mrs Woodrow wilson ( OK it was 1920) ran the country whilst she was lying ( how like a woman!) about her husbands health. You know like he was alive when he was dead. and she didnt do a bad job but didnt stand for office independently
Truman nowadays is rated as 'hopelessly incompeetent'

// we do not approve of the despicable attempts to thwart democracy by any means possible //
Er, we are talking about a book not a coup d’état.
When the Republicans Impeached Clinton, you did not bleat about twarting democracy, you gleefully supported it.
Whatever Mueller finds, and the repercussions that ensue, it will not be down to ‘despicable’ acts, it will be of Trump’s own making.

None of this has randomly come out of the woodwork, Togo. Trump's suitability for the presidency has been one of the major criticisms of him since he announced his candidacy. Even after he won the nomination, the line from his supporters was that he was leaving the character from the Primaries behind, and was now going to behave in a more presidential way. That never happened. It still hasn't. He is still behaving like a maniac - in fact his behaviour is escalating - after a year in office.
I'm no fan of Clinton, but she was absolutely right when she said "there is no other Donald Trump." That hysterical, thin-skinned, deceitful, narcissistic, deluded manchild we were introduced to in the primaries is still at it. But now he has nuclear weapons and the power of the U.S. executive. That is alarming, it is not funny, and it is not good for the world or for the USA. In fact it is precisely why the Americans saw fit to introduce the 25th amendment at all.

Also this idea that opposing Trump is some kind of lefty cause-celebre (which I suspect actually motivates the support for him here) is untrue. As Gromit says, even his own party are avoiding him. Just today he has even made an enemy of Steve Bannon - who essentially got him elected. David Frum, a major policy advisor for that famous lefty George W. Bush, has constantly spoken out against Trump, as have both of Barack Obama's opponents from 2008 and 2012. This is not some left-wing conspiracy, this is a necessary response to a president who is unfit for the job.
// anneasquith, while hate-filled people abound. have no fear. I shall.
Thanks Danny. //
thank god someone is waving the flaming sword of truth and justice in service of the saviour of the free world (trump in case no one guessed) against the liars and gain-sayers of AB !
I even thought of buying the book and reading it ....
serialised in the Times today
I did wonder about Trump instructing lawyers to try to ban the book in the Land of the Free, in spite of the obvious obstacle of the first amendment ( free speech for hate-filled forgetters ). Geo Karman ( libel lawyer here ) used to say - people only sue when they have done it. ( referring to Gillian Playforth's failed action 0

Another fatuous attempt at being incisively perceptive that fails on all counts. Like it or not, Trump was elected. From the first moments it became fact he has come under, sometime hourly, attacks by the losers that range from what he eats to where he sleeps, or from his hair to his hands. Bless. I find it gets less difficult to have some sympathy for him and what he is being made to endure than I do for the tormentors, that were only months ago were showing us what a caring humane and inclusive select few they were. From Hollywood to Capitol hill the pecking party increases in frenzy. Perhaps they need to cluck off. :))

I suppose you don't think any of that can possibly contain any pertinent suggestions about the president's mental wellbeing?
Lovely. I guess if Trump ever goes so far as sleeping on the roof of the white house, catching pidgeons with his bare hands and feasting on their raw guts because he thinks doing so will enhance the power of his tweets, you would still be insisting that it is irrelevant and trivial information?

The President in full...Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star.........to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius....and a very stable genius at that!
//Me too. It’s embarrassing. //
Why, have you become American?
Bottom line: You continue with the scoffing, name calling, insults and lies you will see him re-elected. The Republicans are unlikely to drop him - they dont even have to fund him! so it is up to the Democrats to come up with viable and achievable policies that will win votes. And of course drop the toxic Clintons since I believe Trump didnt win so much as Hillary lost it.
