Not sure whether I agree or not. The 'baguettes' you buy here are anything but. A genuine Frech baguette will last only a few hours before it starts to go hard. This is why nearly every other shop in France is a boulangerie. I would like to see them here. Perhaps there are one or two in London but I would like to see them more widespread.
there are plenty of item to protect, some perhaps are on another list, things like Stilton cheese and Melton Mowbray pies,
