Corbyn was holding May's feet to fire today, in exactly the way that an Opposition Leader should. Well done to him !

Mikey, after the last election I would not confidently predict the result of another one.I think most likely outcome will be a win for the Conservatives.
Question Author
Thanks Danny....

For the record, I am not 100% sure that Labour would win either, given the time period until 2022. But Labour are ahead in the Polls at the moment, although that may not last !
Danny 09.16 Think it was Roy Orbison that sang that ,song
" only in dreams"
Gulliver, that could equally apply to Corbyn.
Don’t count your chickens, Mikey. With the dubious antics of Momentum, Labour is surging further left and in doing so is shooting itself in the foot. It’s becoming very clear to anyone with half a brain that Mr Corbyn is not a leader but merely a front man – a puppet.
Question Author
Naomi....its funny but as Labour "surges" further left, they seem to get more and more popular.

And Corbyn has increased the popular vote for Labour, and increased its number of Members.

Funny that, isn't it !
Mikey
//And Corbyn has increased the popular vote for Labour, and increased its number of Members//
Wasn't that before the last election.I haven't read anything about an increase in membership since then. Also that was pre Momentum.
Mikey, like all charismatic speakers Corbyn is good at rallying the gullible masses. That’s why he’s the chosen puppet. With the rise of Momentum, whether the masses will remain gullible is debatable. As I said, don’t count your chickens.
Mikey, it seems on this thread you are outnumbered by about ten to one, I think you are holding your own corner pretty well, and making a lot of your opponents look prety stupid , well done!.
Of course some will always remain gullible... ;o)
See what I mean Mikey , "they dont like it up em".
Question Author
Naomi....if you read my posts on this thread, you will see that I am not counting any chickens....far from it.

But if Labour in general and Corbyn in particular are so hopeless, why are they so popular ? Polls can't be relied on 100% these days, but Electoral Calculus has Labour well ahead of the Tories ::

http://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/homepage.html

You will notice that the data used in that Poll was from before Xmas....ie before the collapse of Carillion, so its safe to assume that the next set of figures will show labour to be even more popular. So, if Momentum is so bad for the Labour Party, why are they so popular, and more importantly, why has the support for Mrs May and the Tories gone down so much since the unnecessary election of last summer ?
Mikey, response to post at 09.36 ?
After Corbyn's "alzheimer" moment yesterday during question time I doubt he will be leading the opposition in 2022. Momentum will want their own candidate.......McDonnel.
Mikey, //But if Labour in general and Corbyn in particular are so hopeless, why are they so popular ? //

I told you. Read my post at 09:43.
Question Author
Danny...I am not sure where to look for the definitive answer to your question, regarding Labour Party Membership ?
OK Mikey, well dodged :-)
Question Author
Naomi...what you said at 09:43 is rubbish, IMHO !

Let me ask you another question then....why are the Tories hemorrhaging support, since May called that Election last summer ?
Question Author
Touché danny !...but I genuinely don't know where to get the numbers from....do you ?
Are they - or are you relying on the polls again, Mikey?
