Are the Labourites on here still happy to support a party that is purging itself of all moderates?

Win at any cost Mickey? Can you honestly say that you are 100% behind their policies? BTW, these policies are likely to alienate them from Middle England whose votes they need to garner. Core labour voters like you would vote for a donkey with a red rosette on but the swing voters wont. Be careful what you wish for. //It gained 30 more seats in 2017, and is well...

well it will certainly be interesting if they get in ....
// Who has seen this secret list?//

hey hold on - I know this is AB - but ..... if a lot of people have seen it, then it wouldnt be secret would it ?

[not you Talbo not you but this must rate a VDQ for AB ( very difficult question))

Does the party have moderates at present ? The right held sway over the left, and then the pendulum swung the other way and Corbyn took over.
I am a Labourite and I am more than happy that the Party is becoming more popular !

For years it has been said that there isn't much difference between the Parties. I have never believed that, but for those that did, clear blue water is now opening up, and not before time.

Since Corbyn took over as Leader, the Party has more Members, and more importantly, its winning back seats from the Tories. It gained 30 more seats in 2017, and is well ahead of the Tories in the Polls.

So....here is one very content Labourite !

Its the Tory supporters that need to look to their laurels, not Labour.
My party, right or wrong Eh Mickey.
Danny....yes, you are right. Would you or TTT expect me to say anything different ?

As far as I can see, everything is being done democratically.

I want Labour to win the next Election, along with nearly 13,000,000 other people, not come second again.
I realise that here on AB, an overwhelming right-wing site, that is not a popular view to take.

I don't expect that is your view, but it is mine.

Labour did that by lying to the young people and has since admitted it could never do what they promised. They also ran against the most appalling Tory campaign I think anyone has ever seen. In the next election they wont be able to lie so easily and, most likely, the Tories will run a better campaign (be difficult to run a worse one)

As for labour well ahead in the polls, I can find any polls for this year so I'll just have to take your word for it.
Labour needs to sort out its foreign policy or it’ll never get my vote.
I have a feeling actually that aka our will prove to be less ‘left wing’ than is feared. At the moment they would be crazy to press ahead with deselections. It would cause a split in the parliamentary party. Just now they should be happy to sit back and watch the mess the Tories are making, Carillion is a gift to labour, for example.

Hmm, labour are up to their necks in the PFI too so they have to be careful.

I'm afraid Momentum are driven by ideals and so wont care about ripping the party apart nor, I suspect, would they really care too much about winning the next election.

Well, I wouldn't ... but it is nothing to brag about. It just means that your views on politics are very simplistic.
But Mickey claims to be a political animal :-/
There are always purges within all parties, and I'm probably about the generally most left wing person who posts on the site, however I wouldn't vote for Labour just because it's Labour, I am more discerning and thinking than that and would in fact vote alternatively if I felt Labour was genuinely the wrong choice for the country. That being said the party becoming more left wing doesn't offend me, what does bother me is it's stance on Brexit under Corbyn, and I'd prefer him to be replaced by Keir Starmer ( which I think he will be) and then we will have a party with socialist principles but also one which embraces Europe. But does it offend me them disposing of all Blair's old Blue Labourites? No not at all.
i can't imagine that Mikey would be happy for this to happen
Mikey, I wouldn’t expect you to say differently. That would involve examining what Labour is all about and reaching an honest conclusion.
"then we will have a party with socialist principles but also one which embraces Europe"

Hmmm embraces the EU rather than Europe. All parties want good relationship with the rest of the world. So, embraces the EU: not wanting to be out of opposition then ?
ok so i'm wrong, but seems to me that the hard left are gaining ground, and surely you need moderates to balance the party.
Much the same response from the AB right wing as I expected !.....nobody addressing the points I made above.
