He won't be welcomed by any Scot who knows how he tried to force a totally innocent crofter/fisherman - whose home was on the land at Menie which Trump wanted for his golf course - from his property by fair means or foul...mainly the latter.
doubtless there will be people who are the opposite of what emmie mentions, ones who will adore his every move, even in Scotland. My Scottish frinds aren't among them, but I have no idea whether they're in a majority.
Scotland's first minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has been among those who have argued it would be "unthinkable" for Mr Trump to be honoured with a state visit.
"He also insisted he was unaware that many people had called for him to be banned from the UK"
Really ? Not aware ?
For the record, I don't want him to be banned from visiting any part of the UK, but for him to insist that he isn't aware of his unpopularity beggers belief....he can't be that naive surely ?
The easiest way for Trump to be exposed for the racist, misogynistic slob that he is, is for him to make as many appearances as possible. Give us the opportunity to protest ( peacefully of course )
In building ther new stadium Chelsea FC are doing exactly the same things Donald Trump did in Scotland but not people seem up-in-arms about this? (Not a Trump fan by the way)
