With the conviction of Darren Osbourne, evidence in court shows he was radicalised by visiting the Britain First website over several weeks.
He then went on to kill someone in a terrorist attack, and injury scores of others.

// But the trigger for the attack was far-right internet propaganda he had become obsessed with over just a few weeks. //

// Police said the 48-year-old became radicalised in just three to four weeks, as evidence from devices he used show him reading posts by the former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson, far-right group Britain First and other extremists. //

Surely this shows that Britain First crosses the line from being a genuine protest group, and firmly places them in the position that they encourage terrorism, and indoctrinate gullible fools to commit murder.

Many muslim groups have been proscribed for less. They are on par with Scottish Dawn and should be treated similarly.

Khandro - // Facing a hostile enemy in a military combat situation, I think most of us would prefer to stand shoulder to shoulder with a Tommy Robinson than an andy-hughes. Just sayin' //

If the choice was standing with you or 'Tommy Robinson' - I'd rather stand with 'Tommy Robinson' as well!

Just sayin'.

If ever you do, you'd better keep quiet about what you've said of him.

If you avoid violent confrontation, which you can by not going looking for it, then you can live your life free or violence.

In the situation the vetusti mentioned, where a helpless woman (or man, it makes no difference to me) is under attack, I would intervene to stop it.

No ... you would 'try' and stop it (I presume you are no super-hero) Chances are, you would also get some knuckle. Which would make a mockery of your earlier statement.
Whatever ...
Yep, whatever ...

I believe I have not been involved in a fight as an adult because I take simple precautions on the seriously rare occasions where there is even a hint of trouble. It involves absenting myself from the area as quickly as is practical, and it takes no rational though whatsoever.

I don't believe the concept of 'luck' is involved anywhere in that at all.

Pleased that you now agree with my viewpoint Talbot.

Shall we move on now?
Are you just acting daft ...or
Talbot - you posted at 07:10, a post which agrees entirely with what I posted.

If you have an issue with me agreeing with you, you are free to say so, but no, I am not 'acting daft' - merely acknowledging your change of position to mine.

In fact, you agree so strongly, that you have quoted my view as yours - well done!
If that's how you want to deal with your blatant contradictions ... smashing.
Excuse me whilst I face-palm and lol away.
Talbot - You have posted your agreement with my argument, I have acknowledged it - there is no 'contradictions' to be dealt with.

The posts are there for all to see, so let it go, why don't you?
I think you both should, to be frank.
Ye andy, it's clear for all to see ... you would, where there is even a hint of trouble absentee yourself from the area as quickly as is practical.
At the same time as involving yourself if you see a thug knocking ten bells out of a man or woman.

You're really a one-off, andy ... a one-off.

Yet again you are either unwilling, or unable (I really don't care which!) to grasp the simple difference here -

Would I walk away from trouble if it was going to involve me in personal violence which I could avoid - yes.

Would I walk away if I saw someone else getting a beating and I thought I could prevent it - no.

I'm sorry that's too hard for you to understand - no-one else seems to have your difficulty, but there we are.
No one else probably cares because they didn't want to get into another long-winded tit for tat with you.

I think the power that you possess that enables you to know if you could possibly be on the receiving end of some fisticuffs or not is brilliant and has probably helped you avoid such situations.
Seriously ... it's a god given gift.
Talbot - // No one else probably cares because they didn't want to get into another long-winded tit for tat with you. //

Just you then!

// I think the power that you possess that enables you to know if you could possibly be on the receiving end of some fisticuffs or not is brilliant and has probably helped you avoid such situations.

It's not 'power' or 'a gift' - it's basic perception and having your wits about you. Millions of people do it every day.

Maybe not you, I don't know, and unlike you, I don't care.
I will be totally honest in that when I have intervened in an altercation I have never had any idea whether the thug will listen to reason or attack me ... I do not have your gift.
Oh and I have never let anything intimidate me into leaving anywhere.

Talbot - // I will be totally honest in that when I have intervened in an altercation I have never had any idea whether the thug will listen to reason or attack me ... I do not have your gift. //

There is no 'gift' - I have never known either in those situations. It's just about being a decent human being with a reasonable sense of self-preservation, there is nothing to be debated, despite your continually trying to make something that is not there.

// Oh and I have never let anything intimidate me into leaving anywhere. //

Wow - that makes me really proud to know you!

Have a prize!
Thank you ...what is it?

I wish like you, I could say that every time I see the first sign of trouble I would leave ... except for the occasions when I don't leave and stop the trouble.

You deserve a prize too.
Talbot - // I wish like you, I could say that every time I see the first sign of trouble I would leave ... except for the occasions when I don't leave and stop the trouble. //

You're my hero ..... sorry, I just need a moment ....
Excuse the typo it was meant to say

except for the occasions when * you* don't leave and stop the trouble

It's all very confusing this 'I always leave at the first sign of trouble, at the same time as I always help a damson in distress or (what is a male damson?) a helpless male for that matter
