According to the Kids With Food Allergies Foundation, jokes about food allergies are "harmful to our community."

That's just nuts.
No.
no i don't agree,
A valid complaint I think. Kids could pick up on a scene like that.
Can't kids pick up on any scene?
These food allergies seem to be rife these days, so I am not sure if any jokes should be made at all.
We need to be careful of our outrage on things like this (well not me I dont have any)

In this particular case he is pelted with a fruit that he is allergic to. OK not nice but can happen in the school playground, the film then goes on to show the potential consequences of the action (an easy way to get a message over to kids there can be hidden issues) it then further goes on to sow the use of an EpiPen which surely is also educational.

pathetic.
If as said the message that bullying is wrong and allergies can have severe consequences is played out in the film then I can see it serves a purpose.

To encapsulate it as 'we can't make jokes any more' is rather overstating the case.

Disgusting behaviour by the Bunny Rabbits, they should be Casseroled immediately.
^In a blackberry jus.
Blackberry jus smacks of positive discrimination, when will blueberries and red currants have their day?
Sshhh to much rabbit going on!
This is a joke! What about films with guns?? Aren't they harmful to kids??
Difficult to comment without having seen the film, but surely this is was an attempt to raise awareness about something rather than a joke. The victim becomes seriously ill after all and has to use an Epipen.
a spokesman said - this thread is not as thematic as some of the threads we contribute to ....

valid opinion - I think

peter rabbit cartoon has a scene where peter and his pals pelt a kid wivvan allergy with the allergen and he has to use an epipen - and no one noticed apparently the idea was a bit iffy ......

in real life kids threw a non swimmer into a pool and watched him drown and when asked why they had done that said ..... because it was funny
o god this is about the peter rabbit cartoon
sozza
// it then further goes on to sow the use of an EpiPen which surely is also educational. //someone
is this tongue in cheek - or mainstream AB ?

so in Thomas Hardy's (*)[yeah kiss me hardy that one] Jude the Obscure - where the eldest kid hangs the other four and puts a notice around their necks
"Done because we are too menny"

should be shown to kids educationally of course to show that hanging yourself may lead to death as an outcome ?

yeah forward AB !
You're making less sense than usual pp. I didn't think that was possible.
