Reminds me of the time I came out of a Pogues concert with friends in the centre of Birmingham. As KFC appeared to be the only outlet open, we joined the queue. No doubt influenced by the number of glasses of something I'd had, I asked the chap at the counter if they sold chicken, and was told, apparently in earnest, that he'd have to ask ...
