I am of the opinion that if you don't reside in a country then you should not have a say on how it is run since you will not be affected by it (or very little).
Having a UK Passport simply means you have the right to reside in the UK so if you go abroad you can return, reside and start voting again.

I'm surprised that so many posters don't understand that their right to vote is one of their rights as a citizen[i, not as a resident of a country.

Yes, I have thought about it, yes it does mean legal immigrants residing and paying tax have a say. What is wrong with that?
