F/F What I was thinking about, is that if Brexit ever does happen???.
Expats living in a country of an EU member, will be Citizens of a non EU member, they could lose certain rights and even become political pawns!

I am of the opinion that if you don't reside in a country then you should not have a say on how it is run since you will not be affected by it (or very little).

Having a UK Passport simply means you have the right to reside in the UK so if you go abroad you can return, reside and start voting again.

Yes, I have thought about it, yes it does mean legal immigrants residing and paying tax have a say. What is wrong with that?

gulliver and Eddie seem to be under the impression that all ex-pats living within the EU are entitled to the same 'rights' as the indigenous population. I don’t believe that is so.

Most of ex/pats are pensioners , who were footing the bill for other pensioners and youngsters of the day when they lived and worked in the UK .
They were also UK tax payers and many still are. Dual taxation does not work for ex pats but double taxation does.

A lot of people seem to be turning this into some sort of immigration/racism issue, let me clarify. If you are legally resident in the country and satisfy all the requirements to register to vote then I have no objection to you voting.
