Do you think that genius Trump understands or even knows that Europe is the same size as America while he plays his ridiculous trade war-game?

it was a UK wide vote, end of.
Exactly Tora, it was a UK wide vote which didn’t take into account what a leave vote might mean for a major part of the UK. Crazy.
It certainly didn't take into account what a remain vote would mean for an even bigger part of the UK...........for ever. Common sense, amongst the British people with it's best long term interests at heart, once again came to the fore when it was most crucial.
Fair point Togo.
Another point.... if the remoaners can't understand why the majority voted out in a simple Yes/No vote, they certainly couldn't understand the underhand and devious ways of the EUSSR with all it's behind closed doors "decisions and directives". These are the same people who goad Mrs May for "not giving enough details" but happily accept as gospel policies given from Brussels that sprout up regularly. Even our op once bemoaned the "parcel of rogues" that took English gold to form the union......now he would urge that they do it again and take German gilt. Meehh.
Ta Zacs @ 20:45.......I was busy hammering a nail in as you posted. :))
We're the 6th largest economy in the world.

Trade deals will not be an issue as other countries and the EU will be clamouring for our money.

We shall all wait and see.....the sainted Mrs May's Irish border suggestions already seem to have attracted some serious questions.

For Togo I am a member of the SNP and as such stand up for Scotland at every opportunity. To be pro Scotland does mean anti English. I was born in England, a lot of my family live in England, two of my sons live and work in England. Stop the personal abuse and come up with some logic for once.
Personal abuse?? Show. Anti English? Does that mean you are racist?
I'm assuming it's a typo and the word 'not' is missing.
I don't think he knows his ar*e from is elbow, let alone anything else.
The economy of the United States is the largest in the world. At $18 trillion, it represents a quarter share of the global economy (24.3%), according to the latest World Bank figures.

China follows, with $11 trillion, or 14.8% of the world economy. Japan is in third place with an economy of $4.4 trillion, which represents almost 6% of the world economy.

European countries take the next three places on the list: Germany in fourth position, with a $3.3 trillion economy; the United Kingdom in fifth with $2.9 trillion; and France in sixth with $2.4 trillion.

The economy of the United States is larger than the combined economies of numbers three to 10 on the list.

These figures vary slightly depending on who wants to put what slant on it but broadly they remain the same. The EU (27 Nations) economy is just shy of the US but shrinking, in addition once the UK leaves then it falls dramatically.

I fail to understand why you view Mr Trump standing up to other countries as being childish. He is aiming to MAGA and going the right way about it. Why is it fair that the United States imposes a 2.5-percent tariff on cars assembled in Europe and a 25-percent tariff on European-built vans and pickup trucks whilst Europe imposes a 10-percent tariff on U.S.-built cars?

We should be looking to do the same. Far from the USA suffering the German car manufactures must be bricking it as The United States accounts for about 15 percent of worldwide Mercedes-Benz and BMW brand sales, while it accounts for 5 percent of VW brand sales and 12 percent of Audi sales. Add this to the 1 in seven German cars sold to the UK also under threat and VW car sales falling due to the scandals it does not make pretty reading.
Trump is only threatening this because the UK has threatened to retaliate againt our "great friend" Trump's decision to slap tariffs on British steel.
It is to be hoped that wiser counsels than Trump's will prevail: this has the makings of a trade war which would damage everyone, including the US: the last time such a draconian policy was tried it led to the great depression. The guy has a screw loose.
Meanwhile back in the real world.

/A National Centre for Social Research survey showed a large number of Scots are not in favour of staying in the European single market after Brexit – a sign of defiance towards the SNP’s current stand.//

Just because the POTUS is delivering to his voters in a fashion you do not like does not mean he has a screw loose.
He is delivering, or thinks he, is, in a way that simply will not work.
Already most of the US companies that rely on steel have protested, as they realise that this makes no economic sense whatever.
The solution to the problems with the US's rust belt industries cannot be solved by import tariffs.
