Andrew McCabe has been sacked 18 hours before he was due to retire

It prompted a rather strident tweet from Former FBI Director John Brennan to Trump:

// When the full extent of your venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history. You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will not destroy America...America will triumph over you. //

Zebo,
There is a good chance that Donald Trump Junior will be going to jail in the near future. I assume his wife is aware of that...

What is interesting to me is that he lost a significant amount of his pension as a result of being sacked – I can’t imagine that happening in the UK.

He knew he might be sacked, why not resign before they could sack him and collect his full pension?
But no doubt he will appeal his dismissal and have his full pension reinstated.

With all the people investigating Trump’s alleged wrong doing – he is going to have to engineer the sacking of many more in the coming weeks and months.
“The White House responded to Bannon's assertions in the Wolff book by saying he had "lost his mind."

That’s donald for you.
Remind me, how many of the myriad of allegations are proven true?

I seem to recall the Trump haters saying he would be impeached and removed from office by now!

The Meuller investigation is still continuing, despite Trump’s best efforts to close it down. McCabe had given evidence against Trump, which is why he is being discredited.

The timescale Of the predictions was that Trump would not serve for his full term of 4 years. There are still 3 years for that left for it to happen.
And of course Obama was whiter than white.
I have said many times that President Trump wants to run the White House as though it is Trump Tower, and he still fails to grasp the myriad differences between business and politics.

As a businessman, Trump can fire at will, and has probably done so in a fit of pique at someone who displeases him.

He fails to grasp that doing so in political circles has consequences, because for the first time in his adult life, he has to account for his decisions, and answer to other people for them.

Trump understands opposition, he does not deal with dissent - something he shares with Margaret Thatcher in her last years.

The difference is, Thatcher understood on a fundamental level that in politics, pragmatism is everything, as is playing the long game, and until the end of he career, she would accept dissent on the basis that the dissenter may well have a valid contribution in other areas.

Trump uses sackings like a small child - the equivalent of picking up his ball and going home, as this apparently spiteful action underlines.

You need to think and behave like a grown-up to be a politician, yet another thing President Trump cannot understand.

No doubt he'd be given a Knighthood in this benighted country.

'He knew he might be sacked, why not resign before they could sack him and collect his full pension?'

Err, that's exactly what has happened. He hasn't 'got away with it' that's all.

'But no doubt he will appeal his dismissal and have his full pension reinstated.'

Wait and see. Keeping out of prison might be his first priority.

Do you actually believe any of the tripe you spout?
He has been discredited, sacked and is probably going to prison because he broke the law.
Of course, if Killary had won, he'd be collecting a bonus for his behaviour. Unfortunately for him, the swamp is being drained.
He said he'd 'drain the swamp' and that's what he's doing.

As for Gromit's, "The Meuller investigation is still continuing", yes and long will it continue until these numbskulls have to admit that there isn't anything to discover. Imagine how much money and how many hours have been wasted without coming up with a single incriminating fact.

Most of the people he has sacked were his own appointees. He is draining his own swamp.

Here is a recent round-up of what we already know from the Mueller investigation.
