Aah,this outlines a point I was going to make that This is the problem with the British public and celebrities they like. Common sense hours out of the window and then we highlight their bad behaviour before being sympathetic to their crimes.

Had this been your next door neighbor you didn’t get on with or a celebrity that you hated you’d be screeching for the gallows.

Been going through some very difficult times...rehab for drink and prescription drugs may not have been the success stated.... needs help to sort his life...will Saturday night show go ahead with him ? I wish him well... perhaps this will really be the wake up call.... I don't judge..

I’m sure all of our hearts bleed for him as it must be hard having £60 million in the bank,£10 million in property, a great career and advertisement deals.

Relationships break down, stress and illness comes to all of us on a daily basis yet we don’t have the money to go to famous rehabs whilst still on full pay with our careers holding out for us until we get out.

Us “poor folk” have to carry on with life with life whatever it throws at us.

I like the guy but do not have an atoms worth of sympathy for him.

Hopefully, during the course of his ban he'll be able to get some help for his problems.

Jahula is right, people are sympathetic cos it's 'good old Ant' but if that was your neighbour who nearly killed you daughter they would be the first on the phone to report him.

How can he carry on with the cheeky chappy outlook in any of their shows when he has through thoughtless, selfish egotistical foolishness landed a small little child in hospital, whether he had just taken a drink or it was remnants from night before he would have known he was not fit to drive. Personally I think will be the ruination of all Ant and Dec built up, I can't see Dec going it alone and succeeding

If he is guilty, let's just hope he admits his guilt and takes whatever his punishment on the chin. Not, like many before him, hiring a Mr Loophole of a lawyer to muddy the waters.

No doubt, pre-trial, as a PR exercise, he will visit the child, bearing gifts, and offering his sincere apologies. It would appear he has an addictive nature and, if the series is to continue, he should book himself back into rehab the moment the cameras have ceased rolling.
